A try dive gives you the opportunity to give diving a go in a safe and controlled environment – and to see if you’ll enjoy it!
Our try dives take place at the Queen Mother’s Sports Centre, at 6.30 on Tuesday evenings. One of our friendly instructors or dive leaders will take you on the try dive. They make sure it’s informal and relaxed, and you won’t be under pressure at any time.
What happens on a Try Dive?
You will have a safety briefing to teach you how the SCUBA diving equipment works, and the underwater environment. We’ll also ask you to swim a few lengths of the pool, to make sure you’re comfortable in the water.
Then we help you get the kit on, and jump in! Once you’re settled in the water, we’ll help you descend a few meters underwater. We’ll spend about 45 minutes swimming around the bottom of the pool, enjoying the peace and calm of the water.
How do I arrange a try dive?
Simply contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll ask you to come along to The Constitution pub one evening to meet us, and give you the opportunity to find out more about us, our diving and our training. And we can organise a time for you to do the try dive.
The cost of a try dive is £20, which we will refund if you join the club.
Once you have joined the club, you can start training!
